Uenaka Yuzen

Born in Kyoto in 1972, Masashige Uenaka dedicated over a decade to rigorous training before becoming an independent artist and earning recognition as a certified Kyoto Yuzen craftsman and one of Kyoto's "Future Masters". He creates not only Kimono and Obi but also contemporary accessories, adapting centuries-old techniques to modern life. Through his motifs of blossoms and nature, Uenaka's work embodies the Japanese sensibility of harmony and renewal, offering pieces that invite calm, grace, and timeless beauty into everyday life.
